Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a gentle hands on body work that addresses the restrictions in the craniosacral system, that includes bone of the head and back as well as the membrane and fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. It impacts the whole body through its different layers (fasciae, muscles, organs, bones), the mind, the central nervous system and has a direct impact on the emotional state and help and assist the body to rebalance itself in a natural and gentle way.

CST is performed on a fully clothed body. The practitioner with put their hands with a very light touch in the body to feel and monitor the craniosacral rhythm. They will evaluate and work with areas of restriction, tension and reduce movement in the body tissues. They will use very gentle and precise techniques to encourage the release and allow the mobility to come back. The process cannot be forced and will happen when it will be ready. Children generally respond quite well and very quickly as their systems still retain a lot of flexibility.
